DryPro Gets LCode Authorization

As of November 2007, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has assigned three codes for our Dry Pro™ Waterproof Prosthetics Cover. To summarize the most important parts of the letter Dry Corp a division of Xero Products, LLC received, please read the following excerpts:

Request to establish a code to identify vacuum sealed waterproof cast, bandage, PICC line, orthotic, prosthetic protectors, trade name: Dry Pro™. Applicant’s suggested language: “Vacuum-sealed waterproof body, cast, dressing, bandage, PICC line, orthotics, and prosthetic protector”

“(…) CMS determined that existing codes L5962 “ADDITION,
ENDOSKELETAL SYSTEM, BELOW KNEE, FLEXIBLE PROTECTIVE
OUTER SURFACE COVERING SYSTEM”, L5964 “ADDITION,
ENDOSKELETAL SYSTEM, ABOVE KNEE, FLEXIBLE PROTECTIVE
OUTER SURFACE COVERING SYSTEM” and L5966 “ADDITION,
ENDOSKELETAL SYSTEM, HIP DISARTICULATION, FLEXIBLE
PROTECTIVE OUTER SURFACE COVERING SYSTEM” adequately
describe a category of products that perform the same primary function
as the products that are the subject of your request, and are available for
assignment when this item is used over a prosthetic. (…)”
