ALPHARETTA, GA — SPS can now offer its customers the revolutionary Bionic i-LIMB Hand System, manufactured by Touch Bionics, through its US Distribution network.

The Bionic i-LIMB Hand was developed using cutting-edge mechanical engineering techniques and state-of-the art advanced plastics. The phenomenal result of years of advanced research and development is a lightweight, robust upper-limb prosthetic that is aesthetically appealing to both users and healthcare professionals.

The extraordinary uniqueness of the i-LIMB hand lies in its close assimilation of the grasp of a human hand, with five independently fully- articulating powered digits which can close tightly around objects. The exclusive capability to rotate the thumb into various positions, like the human thumb, enables numerous grip configurations which were previously unavailable to amputees in older technologies.

Feedback from early clinical studies and wearers since the 2007 launch, indicate users demonstrate significant improvement in functionality, manual dexterity with smaller objects, bi-manual task completion.
