Trans-Femoral Rotator (TFR) Launches at SPS
Rotation of the shin section of the prosthesis relative to the socket is now a given with the new TFR 300 available through SPS.
The TFR 300, manufactured by Hosmer, allows cross-legged sitting and significantly eases entry and exit of tight spaces (e.g. cars, airplanes, trams or trains). The smooth, one-handed push-button operation and secure locking mechanism ensures confident yet easy operation.
The TFR 300 provides 360 degrees of rotation in a lightweight (6 ounce), low profile (0.85" build height) package. It is applicable to amputees who wish to sit cross-legged or need greater flexibility/access in tight areas. Trans-femoral amputees should weigh less than 300 pounds. Longer residual limbs (knee disarticulation and below) are contra-indicated due to clearance requirements.
