In the past 5 years, the locks have been used on amputees of functional levels 2 through 4, with weights ranging from 100 to 300 lbs. The final lock design has now been incorporated into more than 300 legs with ZERO PROBLEMS over 18 months.
Due to the long life and durability of the Loc-n-Load, O&P facilities using the unit have reported significant savings, in both material and labor costs that translate directly to their bottom line. These same practitioners have gained the peace of mind of not having to worry about a patient walking out of their prosthesis due to lock malfunction or wear. The amputee can always be certain his/her leg is secure by the “click” of the lock before standing and loading the device.
