S.W.A.S.H® LOW PROFILE PROVIDES CONTROLLED VARIABLE ABDUCTION

SPS is pleased to announce immediate availability of the S.W.A.S.H. ® (Sitting Walking And Standing Hip) orthosis. This unique orthosis utilizes a complex angular structure engineered to maintain good hip alignment, as the uprights follow the pathways of femur motion.

While standing or walking, SWASH provides enough abduction to prevent scissoring and medial femoral rotation.

As the hips are flexed into the sitting position, SWASH automatically abducts the hips into a tripod base for enhanced sitting stability, creating an upright posture.

The most visible benefits of SWASH are readily apparent through improved sitting and standing postures, improved stability and for the ambulatory user, improved gait.

SWASH is applicable for everyone from infants to small adults. It does not interfere with childrens ability to play and does not interfere with most walkers, wheelchairs or even standing frames.
