What shipping & delivery changes are taking place?

We are changing our primary shipping carrier from UPS to FedEx. SPS supplier partners will be shipping FedEx as well.

Why is FedEx being used as the primary carrier?

We understand that freight is an important expense in your buying decision. After a thorough analysis, we selected FedEx as our primary carrier so that we can process your orders more efficiently and offer additional shipping options.

When will the transition to FedEx begin?

The FedEx transition will begin with a small pilot starting in October 2017. We will phase in each distribution center (see timeline above) and plan to be completely transitioned by the end of the year.

How does this change affect my shipments?

In the coming months, you will begin to receive shipments from SPS and SPS supplier partners (drop shipments) through the FedEx carrier.

Will we receive the same level of service we currently experience with UPS?

FedEx has committed to a positive user experience with no negative impact to our service. If you experience any issue that may delay or impact patient care, please contact SPS Customer Service by calling 800-767-7776.

Will my delivery times be the same with FedEx?

There is a possibility your delivery time may arrive earlier or later during this transition. If you notice a change in delivery time that will affect your practice or patients, you may speak with your FedEx driver to determine if they can accommodate a better time window for your clinic, or call SPS Customer Service at 800-767-7776.

I prefer UPS. Can you still ship this method?

Please contact your SPS Sales Manager if you need to continue shipping with UPS. To locate your Sales Manager’s contact information, please view the Sales Map or call SPS Customer Service at 800-767-7776.

How will my packages shipping directly from the supplier (drop shipments) arrive?

You will begin to receive shipments from SPS supply partners (drop shipments) through the FedEx carrier. FedEx has committed to a positive user experience with no negative impact to your service.

Does FedEx offer the same shipping methods as UPS? (e.g., Next Day Air)

Yes, FedEx offers a complete list of shipping methods, plus additional options.

How will expedited delivery times be affected by the change (e.g., Next Day Air at 10:30 am)?

There shouldn’t be any significant change in delivery times for expedited shipments. If you experience a change that impacts your practice or patient care, please contact SPS Customer Service at 800-767-7776.

I use a regional carrier. Will my carrier change to FedEx as well?

No, we currently are not making any changes to regional freight carriers.

I am an international customer. How will the FedEx transition impact my shipments?

Please contact customer service (800-767-7776) to see if your location is being impacted by the FedEx transition.
