Welcome to The Clinical Minute! In this episode, Clinical Education Specialist DeLana Finney, MSPO, LCPO, provides an overview of the new activities available for the PROTEOR Quattro microprocessor knee.
New Activities
In addition to stance, flexion, and sitting, there are now 20 activities to program with options including:
- Rehabilitation
- Elliptical
- Sprinting
Rehabilitation
This mode provides sit-to-stand support that locks the knee from further flexion if the patient pauses during sit to stand. Once they reach full extension of the knee, it returns to walking function until the patient sits again.
Key Features:
- Sit-to-stand support
- Timeout to sitting resistance
- User adjustable
- Full extension returns to walking
Elliptical
Elliptical activity is designed for unilateral Quattro users. It has a single setting for both flexion and extension resistance. The user can pedal forward and backward on the machine. The obstacle assist function can help placing the foot on the pedals.

- For unilateral amputees
- Single setting for flexion and extension
- Forwards and backwards pedaling
- Stance lock and sitting disabled
Sprinting
Sprinting is designed for unilateral Quattro users during high-speed running. It uses the same general framework as running and jogging with improvements to prevent locking at high speeds.

- For unilateral amputees
- Prevents locking at high speeds
- Obstacle assist and sitting mode disabled
- Adjust all resistance settings (0-100)
