We are excited to share that the Bionic Power Agilik™ smart orthosis is now available through SPS! The Agilik is the first powered microprocessor-controlled knee-ankle-foot orthosis (MPKAFO) designed for adult and pediatric patients with neurological and musculoskeletal gait impairments affecting mobility and function. Backed by an IRB-approved clinical study, the Agilik boosts endurance and mobility with smart, real-time knee extension and flexion. To ensure you have the tools you need to succeed, the Agilik comes with full clinical training and optional consulting services*—helping you deliver proven results with confidence.

Proven Clinical Outcomes
In an IRB-approved clinical study, the Agilik demonstrated improvements in both mobility and quality of life, highlighting its potential to enhance clinical interventions and broaden treatment options for this population.

Smart, Responsive Technology
The Agilik is the first powered MPKAFO designed to actively assist knee movement—enhancing mobility for people with conditions like stroke, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida. By delivering responsive, powered phase-specific knee extension and flexion during the gait cycle, the Agilik supports upright mobility and extended ambulation, and encourages neuroplastic gait retraining to help patients move more naturally.

Comprehensive Support
SPS and Bionic Power provide structured clinical onboarding, real-time troubleshooting, and continued support to ensure your success and deliver the best possible outcomes for your patients.
How Does the Bionic Power Agilik Work?
The Agilik is designed to assist mobility, not by walking for the patient, but by actively supporting natural gait. The lightweight actuator integrates into a custom-fabricated KAFO, creating a personalized system that moves with the patient.
Product Features:
- Assists or resists knee extension and flexion throughout the gait cycle.
- Monitors key aspects of leg movement during each step, using this information to adjust the amount of assistance or resistance.
- Targeted assistance helps improve knee extension, reduce fatigue, support upright posture, and promote strength.
- Collects gait metrics like range of motion, maximum flexion, and extension and angle speed to help clinicians make data-driven care decisions.
Who Can Benefit?
The Agilik is revolutionizing mobility for patients with knee-related gait impairments, including:
- Patients with neuromuscular or musculoskeletal gait impairments, such as stroke, cerebral palsy, or spina bifida
- Patients with crouch gait or lower-limb instability
- Ambulatory individuals with knee-extension deficiency disorders whose strength and endurance deteriorate with age
Clinical Indications
- Knee-extension deficiency due to neuromuscular conditions
- Progressive crouch gait or fatigue with distance walking
- Quadriceps/hamstring weakness causing stance-phase instability
- Sagittal plane knee instability in ambulatory patients
- Compensatory gait strategies linked to trunk or hip overuse
- Functional decline from fatigue, limiting mobility
- Need for high-repetition gait training to support neuroplasticity
Patient Benefits
- Improved quality of life
- Improved stamina and endurance
- Improved balance
- Improved muscle strength
- Reduced fall risk
- Reduced gait compensation
- Reduced walking fatigue
