This knee joint has a stance-flexion feature that, while allowing a slight amount of flexion, instantly locks to prevent sudden buckling of the knee. It also has a hydraulic system that eases the initiating swing. This knee is named Symphony. The knee joint seamlessly orchestrates and harmonizes stability of the stance phase and smoothness of the swing phase.
The Symphony Knee’s innovative 6-Bar polycentric structure provides an extremely high level of stability during the stance phase, combining with a unique hydraulic cylinder to create a super smooth swing phase. The built-in mechanical sensor allows the knee to control the stability of the knee joint automatically. Creating a smooth, comfortable, confident gait is what the Symphony Knee is all about.
