Silicone Elastomer A-101

• Includes catalyst
• Two-part silicone which will react at room temperature without putting off heat
• This material is dimensionally stable and does not become hard with age
• It is commonly used as a resin for laminating silicone partial feet and bladders for expandable wall symes
• It is also added to A2370 elastomer foam to increase the density
• Mixing: 100 grams of base (6382) to 21 drops of catalyst
• This mix will give you an approximate work time of 10 minutes and a cure time of 30 minutes
• The viscosity of 6382 is comparable to honey
• When used as a laminate the viscosity must be changed to make it pourable
• This can be accomplished with the addition of OH Thinner (part no. A318)
• Mixing for Lamination: 100 grams of base, 50 grams of OH Thinner and 42 drops of catalyst
• This mix will give you an approximate work time of 10 minutes and a cure time of 30 minutes
• The amount of OH thinner can be changed to find the viscosity that works for you, but do not add more than 65 to 100 g of base etc.; this could cause the lamination to be weak
